Marc and his team's business development solutions assisted Abdullahi with the infrastructure and marketing of his business. The team then presented their business proposal to a panel of expert judges from the State Department, Pentagon, and Nigerian Embassy.

Anna worked with a real law firm on a national gender discrimination lawsuit. To advocate for her client, she met with representatives and congressional staff members. She explained to congressional members that her client had faced gender discrimination in her attempts to become the Regional Chief Ranger of the National Capitol Region. Many of the congressional offices that we met with agreed to write letters of inquiry to the Department of Interior to find out more about her client’s case.

During this internship, August was able to work with the nation's top medical professionals. He was able to receive CPR/AED certification and participate in Howard University's state-of-the-art simulation lab. At the culmination of the internship, August was able to successfully diagnose a patient in the developing world with one of the four most prevalent diseases in Nigeria using occulus rift technology.

Jaida's neuroscience research proposal focuses on the topic of decision processes and identity signaling. At the end of the internship, Jaida and her team presented their proposal to a panel of judges that included Georgetown neuroethicists Dr. James Giordano.

Ty'shea and her team also developed counter-terrorism measures for Yobe State University to protect local communities from Boko Haram. At the conclusion of her internship, Ty'shea earned a grant reviewed by leaders at the Department of Defence, Air Force, and FBI to implement her security solution.

Summer program students will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a college admissions expert. They will help walk students through the ins-and-outs of college applications, essay writing, and scholarships.

Students can speak directly with former admissions officers from schools such as Yale, Brown & UCLA. These individuals have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of college admissions.

Students are recommended to have their most pressing questions about the college application process ready so they can have them answered by someone who knows the application system inside and out.

Past students have used this time to hone in on their essay topics, decide on how many colleges to apply to, and create application time lines.
